For Parents who Attended the April 24 Information Night

Parents who attended the 6th grade information night for Reagan Middle School should disregard the date for the Ribbon Cutting & Dedication ceremony given on the information sheet. This event will be held on Thursday, June 21st at 6:00 p.m.
The information sheet incorrectly states that the event will occur on June 20th. We apologize for the error and any confusion that it may have caused.

Science and Techstravaganza
I am pleased to invite you to attend Science and Techstravaganza on April 14, a free event for elementary and middle schoolers at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (6560 Braddock Road, Alexandria 22312).

TJ students lead tables with mini-experiments, such as floating penny boats, gumdrop nanotubes, magnets, Popsicle catapults, homemade silly putty, and more.  We cover two full gymnasiums and a hallway of classrooms, and materials are provided by corporate sponsors.  We typically get 2000 people in attendance, and it is a carnival like atmosphere.

Here's a video from the local newspaper from last year:

Here's the Techstravaganza website:

Please share this fun event with elementary and middle school students, as well as their parents.  Any questions about Science and Techstravaganza should be directed to Jim Rose: jarose@fcps.edu
